EKOSEP National Conference and Closure Event
 
EKOSEP’s II. National Conference will be held on 11 November 2009, in Ankara at Rixos Otel Grand Ankara. Conference on “Solutions for the Impact of Internal Migration Over Cities” will start at 09:30 with opening speeches.

The representatives from beneficiary provinces and public institutions dealing with project related issues will attend the conference. In the first session of the conference academicians will elaborate on social, economical and spatial aspects of the internal migration. Conference will end with a round table session on the roles and responsibilities of local and central administrations regarding internal migration.

On 12nd of November, EKOSEP Closure Event will be held at Rixos Otel - Grand Ankara. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. In the event project beneficiaries’ will elaborate on their gainings from the project and team leader will evaluate the past 24 months of the project.
 
 


EKOSEP

EKOSEP is, “Technical Assistance for Supporting the Municipalities of Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa and Erzurum for the Solution of Economic and Social Integration Problems” Project adapting a multi sectoral approach at local level, aiming to mitigate adverse effects of migration for the first time in Turkey.

EKOSEP, focuses on the elements of inequality, social policies and capacity building related especially to regional development. This is a technical assistance project with the aim of solving the problems in DGES cities caused by continuous migration from rural areas to urban areas. 

This EC funded project “Technical Assistance for Supporting the Municipalities of Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Gaziantep and Erzurum for the Solution of Economic and Social Integration Problems”, hereinafter referred as EKOSEP specifically focuses on the regional development related disparity, social policy and capacity building topics. It is a technical assistance project aiming at resolving problems of urban areas which emerge from permanent rural-migrant flows.
