Project Cycle Management (PCM) trainings were aiming to improve project planning and management skills of the project stakeholders like municipalities, governorates and NGOs. In sum, 84 people were attended to the programs. In every province participants prepared their own projects to be submitted during the workshops and presented those after a month through a commission to get their certificates. The questionnaires from the trainings showed that the participants found “Logical Framework”, “Group Study”, “Budget” and “Interactive Training” parts most useful.

In Diyarbakır, the training was held in Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality’s Training Hall in between 7-9 January 2009. The following projects prepared by the participants:

• Feasibility to create a City that awares of women’s issues
• Establishing a “Disabled Library” to ensure active participation of the disabled ones to socio-cultural life.
• Contributing to ecological balance through solid waste management and create employment
• Promotion project to activate Diyarbakır’s tourism potential

Gaziantep session was held in Gaziantep Provincial Administration’s Council Hall in between 19-21 November 2008 and three projects emerged from that training.

• School Enrolment for pre-school children of migrant families
• Community Center model (Societal Peace Model and Societal Peace Center)
• Increasing Gaziantep’s Appeal in Tourism (submitted as a project for IPA)

Parallel to Gaziantep, Erzurum session was being held in Metropolitan Municipality’s Assembly Hall. 17 people from municipality, governorate and NGOs were attended to training. Projects from Erzurum were:

• Improving the conditions of shelter of Metropolitan Municipality “Shelter for Old People” project
• Transforming Erzurum to a Tourism Center (Hike the Peak) (submitted as a project for IPA)

In Şanlıurfa the training held in Yenişehir Culture Center and mostly from NGOs, 17 participants attended the training. Projects of Şanlıurfa were;

• Branding İSOT
• Guiding Street Children towards Education
• Ending Violence Against Women
