Trainings
Minimize

EKOSEP activity plan is mostly based on training programs in order to ensure sustainability of the existing projects and increase project management capacity of the beneficiary institutions. In this context EKOSEP training activities mainly target two groups:

• The representatives from beneficiary institutions in terms of capacity improvement
• Pilot project staff in terms of contribution to efficient operation of pilot projects.

To design necessary training programs for beneficiary institutions’ representatives a need assessment study was conducted and finalized in August 2008. The methodology used for this study was composed of three pillars: semi-constructed interview forms, focus group interviews and skill based questionnaires. Following the compilation of the datas derived from those, three days long training programmes, which will be supported by theoretical narration, interactive experience sharing and workshops, have been designed. In the end of this first analysis, following trainings are designed:

Project Cycle Management
Procurement and Contract Management
Social Services Presentation
Communication Strategies
Open Forum
• Management Workshop

Parallel to those trainings another need assessment stduy for pilot projects have started in April 2009. This study was aiming to define the needs of the pilot project staff and develop a training program that is relevant to the pilor projects. Datas from this study were derived from one – to – one interviews with beneficiary institution officials and provincial workshops. In the end three main training programs are now being designed to be completed in July – August period.
